First we went to a parade. He didn't care much for the floats or people passing by, and had a little joy of putting the tossed-candy into a bag, but any time a balloon went by on a float, he would completely stop and point and say "Balloo, Balloo?" LOL finally at the end of the parade, one of the trucks came back towards us and gave us one of thier balloons.
The next day Alex got to play with Papa and his cousin Emily while she was getting ready to go to her Aunt's wedding (notice the curlers in her hair). They had fun taking turns on Grandma and Grandpa's huge bouncy horse and then after a quick diaper change, Alex got tickled by Emily.
Then we headed out to a pumpkin farm for some fall pictures. They had a petting farm and horses for the bigger kids to ride on. Alex was too small of course, but he got to touch one of them. It was all I could handle trying to keep him in my arms while he fought to get down and run to the horses. We also saw sheep and goats and chickens. When we read books, Alex doesn't really care about chickens, but he couldn't take his eyes off the real ones. He was so cute going up to the fence yelling "Buck, buck, buck" while bobbing his body up and down. We tried to get some pictures in his Halloween costume, but he wanted to run back to the chickens. Without showing too much, here's a sneak peak at his costume.. Other pictures of the animals will come later - Grandma is sending them.
