15 Month update

Alex had his 15 month appointment today. For those of you who don't know, at around 9 months his weight gain slowed down quite a bit. He was hanging tough around the 25th percentile up to that point, but he quickly dropped to 5% and under. So as of today our little peanut is 19 pounds, 1 ounce. This puts him under the 3rd percentile, ie. off of the charts. The good news though, is that he has continued to gain weight during a time that many kids really slow down due to learning how to walk and run, and he is growing right along the curve - just a little lower on the chart :)

Otherwise he is doing great - all of his development is right on track (if not a little ahead by the sounds of it) and we'll just check back in at 18 mos. For now we'll continue to add butter and oil to his foods and give him all full-fat cheese and yogurt, and then will probably also add some Carnation Instant Breakfast (pedi recommended it) for additional calories and such.
